The Lidernenhütte is situated on the northside of the Chaiserstock-range at 1’727 meters above sea level. The starting point is Riemenstalden in the Canton of Schwyz. The hut however is built on land which belongs to Sisikon in the Canton of Uri.

There is a cable car (link in german) starting from Chäppeliberg. From the cable cars top station you can reach us by foot (during summertime) in only 15 minutes. The shortest hike without using the cable car takes you 1h40min, starting point Chäppeliberg. Here you will find a summary of all the hikingroutes leading up to Lidernenhütte.

Cable car Chäppeliberg-Spilau

The journey in the open cabin cable car Chäppeliberg-Spilau is a great experience for young and old! Here  you will find further information in german, including the timetable. There is a big parking area for people using the cable car.

Arrival by public transport

The bus line 541 departs from the train station in Sisikon to Riemenstalden, stopping at “alte Post” (village centre) and “Chäppeliberg” (cable car). A reservation is mandatory! For more information in german click here.
